Yes, it is finally a reality. The debut record is finished and has been made available to the world today. Currently it is only for sale digitally. Mostly I want to take this blog entry as an opportunity to rant a bit about the current state of online music distribution. Most of these websites are seriously for the birds. I’d say the best source for mp3s and online music (in all genres) is last.fm. Out of all the sites I’ve uploaded the record to, I had it entirely finished in five minutes flat on last.fm. In fact, if you are interested in hearing and downloading the entire album (FOR FREE), you can do so at www.last.fm/music/Pirate+Prude I’m not trying to dissuade anyone from purchasing the record. My main objective is to attract new fans, not make a living off of the album. I have made the record available for $9.99 at www.nimbitmusic.com/pirateprude That’s a pretty good deal considering the record has a total of 14 tracks and each track is available individually for $.99. If you encounter any issues with your download on the Nimbit site, please make me aware of it. Most importantly, SPREAD THE WORD. I can’t do this alone and I would love to talk with any and everyone who has questions and would like to discuss the album or merely tell me how much they dig it. Download the album for free. Exile In Circuitville Release Date March 18th, 2008 March 9, 2008
“Exile In Circuitville” will be ready to drop Tuesday, March 18th. No, it will not be available in local stores (YET…. I will be working on finding this record a label home…..but for the time being, it is a self-release adventure). I posted 4 album tracks just earlier today on myspace. Listen to them at www.myspace.com/pirateprude and get pumped up for the whole wackadoo. I will play a release party somewhere in Tampa…. but where and when is still to be determined.
